Abel Bourbois » Hello Huskies!

Hello Huskies!

My name is Abel Bourbois (he/him/el) and I'm the proud Assistant Principal of Monterey Highlands School this year.

This is my 20th year in Alhambra Unified School District.  I started my career as a math teacher at Alhambra High School.  During my 11 years at AHS, I taught all levels of math including AP Calculus AB and BC, and also served as a Department Chair in my last year.

After leaving the classroom in 2013, I was an Instructional Specialist in Educational Services for 6 years supporting Secondary Mathematics during the transition to Common Core.

During Distance Learning, I became an Instructional Specialist in Student Support Services supporting Tobacco/Vape Prevention efforts in the district.  I also taught math at Independence High School during DL.

It is my honor to serve the Monterey Highlands community this year.  I'm looking forward to a safe and successful year!
