Principal's Message
Dear Monterey Highlands Families and Community,
We have put behind us our first in-person school year after having experienced distance learning due to the pandemic and I am confident that all we have learned from this past year will help us make the 2022-2023 school even better! This upcoming school year will be filled with the welcoming of parent volunteers as well as traditional in-person events that our community has eagerly been waiting for.
I continue to look forward to spending a lot of time with your children, getting to know their personalities, learning styles, and interests. I believe in the importance of celebrating their successes, small and large. My goal is to encourage them every day and let them know they are valued and have a special place in our school community so that they are healthy, happy, safe, and ready to learn. Not only am I excited to begin working with your children, but I look forward to the work we will do together. I am a true believer of the old proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child,” it is through our partnership and collaboration that we will continue to move our children forward to heights never seen before. I am excited to see your children through your eyes. I cannot wait to share with you the great things they accomplish.
I so look forward to all the learning and activities we will experience and share together as a community and school. Wishing you a wonderful 2022-23 school year.
