CA Healthy Kids Survey

Dear Monterey Highlands Community,

Every district in California is required to provide a school climate survey on an annual basis to stakeholders (parents, staff, and students).  Alhambra Unified utilizes the California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS), developed by WestEd on behalf of the California Department of Education (CDE).  This survey provides critical data on student wellness, student engagement, parent involvement, staff connectedness, and school safety.

Like last year, students in Grades 5, 6, and 7 will be participating in the survey.

• Permissions will go home for students in Grades 5 and 6 and parents must OPT-IN for students to participate in the survey.
• Students in Grades 7 will automatically be included in the survey but an email will go out giving parents the opportunity to OPT-OUT students from participating in the survey.
