Highlands students excelled in various events!
Dramathic was an event where the students had to create a skit about the mathematician, Alan Turing. Our group presented it with the theme of High School Musical with original lyrics and choreography. Although we were the only school to enter this event, the students scored 34/36 with first place medals. Student winners included: Sarah Lucero, Erica Carrillo, Emily Liu, Savannah Vizcaino, Danica Vizcaino, Sonia Hinojosa
Approximath included estimating things in current events and a pair of students placed 2nd. Student winners included: Nicholas Jung and Adam Shen
Final Round Competition: Highlands students also placed 2nd for the final round against all the schools. Student winners included: Andrea Robles-Payan, Adam Shen, Nicholas Jung, and Jay Zhang
Benjamin Lao, Matthew Chan, and Shandra Kwok also attended and placed 6th and 11th out of 18 teams.
