Great Shake Out-Evacuation Drill

Dear Husky Hero Staff, 

Due to weather and field conditions, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Earthquake Evacuation Drill for tomorrow.   

The field condition is very poor and not safe for middle school to walk on.  While the blacktops may be mostly dry in the morning, they may be some residual puddling which is not ideal since students are seated for almost an hour.  Finally, morning air temperature at 8:15 is a chilly 54 degrees, which is too cold to keep kids outside without playing.  

In lieu of a drill, we still encourage you to remind students about earthquake safety protocols. 

Scheduling this drill is challenging, so we will follow-up if/when we are able to find another time on the calendar for the drill.
